The Senate on Tuesday passed a $95.3 billion foreign aid package after working on the legislation throughout the entire evening.

A small group of Republicans had held the floor the entire evening as they expressed opposition to the $60 billion included in the bill for Ukraine aid, The Associated Press reported.

The vote came 70-29, with 22 Republicans voting with nearly all Democrats to pass the bill.

"With this bill, the Senate declares that American leadership will not waiver, will not falter, will not fail," Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., said after he worked closely with Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., on the bill.
