Senators Ted Cruz, R-Texas, and Ron Johnson, R-Wis., on Tuesday plan to meet with the People's Convoy protest of truckers against COVID-19 mandates.

The senators plan on discussing the "harmful effects of President Biden’s vaccine mandates," according to a press release.

The People's Convoy circled the capital beltway for the second day in a row on Monday. The protest did not create any major traffic disruptions, according to WTOP news.

The convoy, modeled after the Canadian Freedom Convoy, began in California under the motto "Let freedom roll."

The protesters goal is to end the COVID-19 national emergency declaration.
