Son of alleged Paul Pelosi attacker says father isn't dangerous
DePape, 42, faces multiple charges related to the violent assault of Paul Pelosi at his San Francisco home.
The son of the man accused of attacking House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's husband said his father is not dangerous and even threw out the idea his father could be "some sort of sex slave."
"He isn't a danger to society, I don't even know if he even attacked Mr. Pelosi," Nebosvod 'Sky' Gonzalez, son of David DePape, told The Daily Mail on Wednesday. "For all that we know he was some sort of sex slave, as Elon Musk pointed out."
Twitter CEO Elon Musk deleted a tweet suggesting that DePape was a gay prostitute. DePape, 42, faces multiple charges related to the violent assault of Paul Pelosi at his San Francisco home.
"If you look into his eyes, you can see he's such a sad person," Gonzalez said. "There is almost no person on this planet that has gone through so much suffering."
DePape, whose arraignment was scheduled for Wednesday on state charges related to the assault of Paul Pelosi, grew up in an abusive home, according to his son.
"He often told us he ... would be physically abused by his grandparents," Gonzalez said.
