Johnson will have to get 218 votes for a continuing resolution and there are Republicans who have already come out and said they won't vote for another one.
House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., is getting pressure from conservatives to attach the SAVE Act to the upcoming continuing resolution, according to reports.
The SAVE Act is legislation that requires individuals to show proof of American citizenship before casting their vote. It has been pushed by conservatives over the past few months.
Democrats have pushed back against it, saying that illegal migrants already can't vote in elections.
This could result in a government shutdown, according to Punchbowl News.
