'Bob's Burgers' actor Jay Johnston charged over Jan. 6 riot

Actor Jay Johnston, who is known for his role as Jimmy Pesto on "Bob's Burgers," was arrested on Wednesday and charged in connection with his involvement in the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol riot.
Johnston faces charges of felony obstruction of civil disorder, as well as several misdemeanor charges, according to The Hill. Authorities allege that Johnston interacted directly with Capitol Police and helped steer participants in the incident through the Capitol grounds.

Johnston reportedly lost his role on "Bob's Burgers" over his presence at the Capitol. He is one of more than 1,000 people to face charges related to the riot.
