Conor McGregor denies sexual assault allegations
The attorney said the woman is looking to settle with McGregor, the NBA and the Heat instead of going to trial.
Mixed martial artist Conor McGregor denied allegations that he sexually assaulted a woman during Game 4 of the NBA finals in Miami.
Attorney Ariel Mitchell sent demand letters to McGregor, the NBA and the Miami Heat this week, stating that he "violently" sexually assaulted a woman in a men's bathroom, TMZ reported Thursday.
Mitchell said the woman is looking to settle with McGregor, the NBA and the Heat instead of going to trial.
McGregor's attorney, Barbara Llanes, told PEOPLE: "The allegations are false. Mr. McGregor will not be intimidated."
Mitchell is currently in good standing with the Florida Bar Association, but a case was opened into her last year by the agency for allegedly offering a witness between $100,000 and $200,000 to change her testimony in a case involving musician Trey Songz, according to Law.com.
She also represented a woman who accused Chris Brown of rape, but stepped away from the case after obtaining unspecified information from police, per Rolling Stone.
