The FBI has reportedly ended its protection of the romantic partner of alleged Charlie Kirk shooter Tyler Robinson, multiple outlets reported Thursday, and the partner has reportedly moved in with family.

A relative of Robinson's transgender partner, Lance Twiggs, told NewsNation that their loved one was placed under FBI protection in the aftermath of last year's shooting, because of death threats, and that Twiggs is still with family but not at his home in Utah.

“My understanding was for the first few weeks, cause there was so many threats against his family and him, that…they did have a little bit of FBI detail and they kind of moved around a little bit, but they’re not anymore. He’s with his family,” the unidentified relative said.

A law enforcement source also confirmed to Fox News that the FBI protection for Twiggs has ended, but did not give a reason for the decision or when it was made.

The relative also said she was not aware of whether Twiggs is still in contact with authorities regarding the shooting and his relationship with the 22-year-old Robinson, who has been charged with aggravated murder, two counts of obstruction of justice, witness tampering and commission of a violent offense in the presence of a child for Kirk's death.

Kirk was assassinated during an appearance at Utah Valley University last September.
