Attorney Sidney Powell reached a plea deal Thursday with Fulton County prosecutors in the Georgia 2020 election case in which former President Donald Trump and 18 others were indicted in August for allegedly trying to overturn the results in Trump's favor.

She pleaded guilty to reduced charges the day before the jury was set to be selected in her trial, according to The Associated Press.

Under the deal, Powell will receive six years probation and be forced to pay a $6,000 fine in addition to $2,700 in restitution to the state, according to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Powell also agreed to testify truthfully in the case, and she wrote an apology letter to the citizens of the state.

Powell was originally charged with racketeering and six other counts related to the 2020 election.

A judge last month ruled that Powell and former Trump attorney Kenneth Chesebro would have their trial scheduled for later this month after they requested a speedy trial, unlike the the other co-defendants.
