Rep. Greg Steube says if Democrats win in 2024, SCOTUS will be 'delegitimized'
Steube warned that packing the court would make the Supreme Court political.
Congressman Greg Steube, R-Fla., said Tuesday that if the Democrats take power in 2024, they will delegitimize the Supreme Court.
"If Donald Trump doesn't get elected and you have Democrats in control, it's going to be adding people to the Supreme Court and completely delegitimizing the Supreme Court," Steube said on the "Just the News, No Noise" TV show.
Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris has said in the past that she would be open to packing the highest court.
Steube warned that would make the Supreme Court political.
"If the Supreme Court doesn't agree with Democrats or the Biden administration, they just want to change them and put more people on there so they'll do what they want them to do, not follow the Constitution," he said.
He said that the GOP has a lot of work to do if Trump wins and they take back the Senate.
