Hunter Biden expected to face indictment in California: reports
While the exact nature of the charges remains unclear, Weiss has previously headed up a years-long investigation into the younger Biden's taxes.
First son Hunter Biden is expected to face indictment in California as soon as Thursday, multiple outlets have reported.
The indictment is expected to be a part of special counsel David Weiss's probe into the first son's alleged illicit activities and is expected to be filed in the Central District of California, according to Fox News.
While the exact nature of the charges remains unclear, Weiss has previously headed up a years-long investigation into the younger Biden's taxes. That investigation was set to culminate in a plea deal, which ultimately fell apart amid whistleblower allegations that Biden-appointed officials had worked to stifle the case.
Weiss was subsequently appointed special counsel and has already charged him with a gun violation to which he pleaded not guilty in October.
