Jimmy Kimmel is threatening to take legal action against Aaron Rodgers after the New York Jets quarterback recently suggested the name of the late-night talk show host would be include in the court release Tuesday of documents related to disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein.

"Dear Asshole: for the record, I’ve not met, flown with, visited, or had any contact whatsoever with Epstein, nor will you find my name on any “list” other than the clearly-phony nonsense that soft-brained wackos like yourself can’t seem to distinguish from reality," Kimmel wrote on the social media platform, X. "Your reckless words put my family in danger. Keep it up and we will debate the facts further in court."

Rodgers made an appearance on ESPN’s “The Pat McAfee Show” on Tuesday on which he discussed what is expected to be the release of an Epstein client list.

“There’s a lot of people – including Jimmy Kimmel – that are really hoping that list doesn’t come out," Rodgers said.

More than 175 associates of Epstein are expected to be named.

Federal Judge Loretta Preska on Dec. 18, 2023, issued an order to go into effect 14 days later unsealing the names and court documents in connection to Prince Andrew accuser Virginia Roberts Giuffre's defamation case against Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein's former girlfriend who was sentenced to 20 years in prison for sex crimes.
