Jurors in the Lindsay Clancy murder trial have recessed for the fourth day after failing to reach a verdict.

"Members of the jury. So my understanding is that you would request to be excused until tomorrow at 9 o'clock," the judge said. "So, I'm gonna excuse you 'til then. I just want to thank you for all your hard work and commitment so far in this case."

He also reminded jurors not to read material about the case or discuss it while recessed. The jury is not subject to sequestration in the case.

Clancy stands accused of killing her three children in 2023. She has admitted to the act but argued she was suffering form severe mental illness and should not be held criminally liable.

The case has attracted national attention and become a focal point in the ongoing gender wars, as many women rally behind her as a feminist icon.
