Former Trump lawyer Giuliani ordered to testify in Georgia election probe
Giuliani is ordered to testify to the Fulton County grand jury on August 9
A New York judge on Wednesday ordered former Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani to testify next month to the Fulton County, Georgia, grand jury in its probe of former President Donald Trump's actions during the 2020 election.
Giuliani, who was involved after the elections in investigating possible voting fraud, was subpoenaed earlier this month but did not appear at a New York hearing to block the Georgia subpoena.
The order issued Wednesday obtained by CNN, requires the former New York City mayor to testify before the Special Purpose Grand Jury on Aug. 9.
On Tuesday, the Fulton County district attorney said in a court filing that eleven alternate electors for former President Trump are under investigation.
One day prior, Rep. Jody Hice, R-Ga., received a subpoena from Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis to testify about Trump's alleged involvement in attempting to overturn the 2020 election.
