Tennessee judge blocks attempt to sell Elvis Presley's former home Graceland
Graceland was transformed into a museum in 1982.
A Tennessee judge on Wednesday ruled to block the auction of Elvis Presley's home, Graceland, by a company that alleged the singer's daughter didn't repay a loan that used the home as collateral.
The auction had been slated for this week, though Shelby County Chancellor JoeDae Jenkins issued the temporary injunction, according to The Associated Press.
Lisa Marie Presley died in 2023 and the challenge against Naussany Investments and Private Lending was brought forth by her daughter Danielle Riley Keough who alleges her mother never took the loan. She has claimed the documents that stated Lisa Marie took out the loan are "fraudulent."
"Elvis Presley Enterprises can confirm that these claims are fraudulent. There is no foreclosure sale. Simply put, the counter lawsuit has been filed to stop the fraud," Elvis Presley Enterprises said Tuesday, according to the AP.
