A prominent critic of transgender ideology has filed a lawsuit against the doctors who performed hormone treatments and surgery on her when she was a minor, claiming medical officials "fraudulently" misled her to believing radical interventions were the only treatment available to her.

Chloe Cole, who has attracted considerable attention in recent months for her outspoken criticism of transgenderism, filed a complaint against several medical officials and organizations, according to a letter published this week by the law firm LiMandri & Jonna LLP.

Cole suffered from "gender dysphoria" from the age of nine onward, the lawyers claim, after which she "underwent harmful transgender treatment, specifically, puberty blockers, off- label cross-sex hormone treatment, and a double mastectomy."

"This radical, off-label, and inadequately studied course of chemical and surgical 'treatment' for Chloe’s mental condition amounted to medical experimentation on Chloe," the letter argues, claiming that Cole has "deep emotional wounds, severe regrets, and distrust for the medical system" stemming from those procedures.

Cole will "seek the full extent of her damages in litigation, including special damages in an unknown amount," the letter states.

The lawyers said they intend to "promptly proceed with litigation" if they receive no response from the defendants within 90 days.
