President Donald Trump on Wednesday announced his nomination of federal judges to fill district court vacancies.

Trump tapped Aaron Peterson to serve on the Alaska District Court, selected David Fowlkes for the Western District of Arkansas, and chose Nick Ganjei to serve the Southern District of Texas.

"Because he has fought to protect The Last Frontier’s greatest assets, including its people, Aaron has proven he has the Wisdom and Courage to get the job done," Trump said of Peterson. "I know that Aaron will strongly uphold our Constitution, and make the people of his incredible State proud."

Peterson previously served as senior assistant attorney general for the Alaska Department of Law for Natural Resources.

Folkes serves as U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Arkansas, where Trump said "he has strongly prosecuted violent criminals, and made the wonderful people of Arkansas SAFER and STRONGER."

Ganjei, for his part, is the current U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Texas. Trump called him a "fearless proponent of Immigration Enforcement, Strong Borders, and LAW AND ORDER."
