Border Patrol union defends Biden jabs: 'Yep, we said all that, and we mean every bit of it'
Comparing Biden and Trump, the union said, "Trump treats BP agents with respect, supports their mission and listens to their ideas," while "Biden falsely accuses agents of crimes."
The National Border Patrol Council defended its derision of President Joe Biden's visit to the border after the official U.S. Border Patrol union praised former President Donald Trump and mocked Biden as tired and wanting ice cream.
"Yep, we said all that, and we mean every bit of it," the union said Saturday evening on X, formerly Twitter, in response to a Fox News article about its repeated jabs against Biden.
The union had posted a joke itinerary Saturday on X about Biden's trip to the border Thursday on Air Force One.
"Board AF1, take nap. Wake up in place called Brownsville. Read large teleprompter message, 'It's all Trump's fault.' Board AF1, ask who people in green uniforms were, told they 'strap' illegal aliens, express horror, take nap. Wake up, call a lid, hit beach, take nap," the union wrote alongside a picture of Biden sunbathing on the beach.
Before Biden had even landed in Brownsville, Texas, for his visit Thursday, the union said on X: "Attention President Biden: Keep our name out of your mouth today."
That same day, the union made multiple jokes about Biden's visit, which came on the same day as Trump's trip to the border at Eagle Pass, Texas.
"In an effort to invigorate him for his border visit, WH staff reportedly tells Biden that Brownsville is a new ice cream flavor," the union posted, later adding, "In major Biden Admin foreign policy achievement, Mexican cartel thugs agree to provide 3 illegal aliens at the border in Brownsville for WH photo op."
On Friday, the union accused Biden of encouraging illegal immigrants to "surge the border," voiding Trump's executive orders dealing with the border and publicly and falsely accusing Border Patrol agents of assault.
The union treated Trump very differently from Biden over his visit to the border Thursday.
"President Trump treats BP agents with respect, supports their mission and listens to their ideas," the union said on X. "Biden falsely accuses agents of crimes, burned the border to the ground and only listens to his radical leftist base. See the difference?"
Illegal immigration is set to be a major issue in the 2024 election as Border Patrol agents have seen record-breaking numbers of migrants at the border under Biden.
