Southern District of New York's Chief of Public Affairs, Nicholas Biase, called Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg and New York Attorney General Letitia James "idiots" in a video posted earlier this week to the social media platform, X.

Biase specifically referred to James and Bragg as "idiots" who run New York like the "wild west" in a video shared on social media by commentator Steven Crowder.

Last year, a Manhattan grand jury voted to indict former President Donald Trump over his alleged role in a payment to Stormy Daniels in 2016, making him the first former president to face criminal charges. Bragg led the prosecution against the 45th president.

In the video shared to X, Biase accused Bragg of “lawfare” to further his political career, according to the New York Post. He also called the case "nonsense" and "a perversion of justice."

James has alleged that Trump deceived insurers and banks by manipulating the value of his assets to secure favorable terms on loans and insurance premiums.
