The Department of Defense revealed earlier this week the removal of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) chief Kelisa Wing from her position with the department's military children's schools.

The DOD began a 30-day review of Wing last October after receiving a letter in September from 22 GOP members of Congress, including New York GOP Rep. Elise Stefanik, citing Wing's Twitter posts with disparaging comments about white people, according to The Daily Wire

Wing had drawn controversy after it was revealed she was using her position to promote woke ideology through her personal writings.

A now deleted tweet from Wing read: "I'm so exhausted of these white folx in these PD sessions this lady actually had the CAUdacity to say that black people can be racist too...I had to stop the session and give KAREN the BUSINESS...we are not the majority, we don't have power."

Wing also wrote that people needed to "agitate, agitate, agitate" for "revolutionary" changes, and that "If another Karen tells me about her feelings … I might lose it," according to the outlet.

During a House committee hearing on Thursday, Stefanik announced that Wing had been reassigned and the DEI webpage at the Pentagon was pulled down.

At the hearing, Stefanik questioned Secretary of Personnel and Readiness Gilbert Cisneros as to his thoughts on Wing and her tweet.

"Do you agree with this, Mr. Cisneros?" she asked him during the hearing.

"I do agree that this is not acceptable. It is not condoned. It is not something that I condone. It is not condoned by DoDEA or the Department of Defense," Cisneros answered.

Stefanik cited the letter to the department sent last September raising these concerns, and said they did not receive a response until hours before the Thursday hearing.

Cisneros proceeded to give excuses on why the department didn't respond to the letter.
