A Southwest Airlines flight bound for South Florida was forced to divert to Atlanta Friday night after a passenger allegedly made a bomb threat while the aircraft was in the air.

The incident occurred on Southwest Flight 2094 heading from Nashville to Fort Lauderdale, prompting the crew to divert the plane to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, according to reports.

The aircraft landed safely around 9 p.m. local time.

Atlanta police boarded the aircraft and removed the passenger behind the threat.

Video circulating on social media shows officers detaining the individual while passengers remained seated with their hands raised during the response.

Federal investigators later determined there was no credible threat, the FBI said.
