The GOP-led House Small Business Committee is reportedly investigating whether the Small Business Administration is campaigning on behalf of President Joe Biden.

Committee Chairman Rep. Roger Williams sent a letter to the agency expressing concerns about a Memorandum of Understanding it has with the Michigan Department of State, according to Fox News.

The state agency sent out a press release announcing a partnership with the SBA to “promote civic engagement and voter registration in Michigan.”

The program, according to Fox, is part of a broader campaign by the Biden administration to expand access to voter registration, which was launched by a 2021 executive order.

An earlier investigation by the House committee found that the vast majority of the outreach events take place in areas of the highest concentration of target demographics of the Democratic National Committee.

Williams’ letter requests more information from SBA Administrator Isabel Guzman about how her office is helping to expand Biden’s voter base.
