Ivanka Trump, one of former President Trump's two daughters, has joined the Hurricane Helene relief effort, going to hard-hit North Carolina to deliver meals and other supplies to residents.

Trump, who lives in Florida with her husband and children, was in the city of Hickory, where she also helped hand out Starlink units donated by SpaceX to keep residents connected to the Internet.

Trump, who was a White House adviser in her father's administration, partnered with CityServe on the relief efforts. The food was provided by Planet Harvest, according to the entertainment news website TMZ.com.

Trump was spotted chatting with relief volunteers, pilots flying supplies and locals impacted by the storm. Her 10-year-old son, Joseph, was seen alongside her in a few photos.

Florida and Georgia were also hit heavily by Hurricane Helene.

As of Thursday morning, 190 people were reported dead as a result of the storm.

President Joe Biden visited Raleigh, North Carolina, on Wednesday for an aerial view of the damage and to meet with emergency responders.

Biden said he would deploy 1,000 active-duty troops to the state to respond to the storm devastation.
