Authorities are investigating the explosion of a Tesla Cybertruck outside the Trump hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada, as a possible terrorist attack.

Video footage showed the truck spontaneously detonate outside the front entrance of the building. Local authorities confirmed the death of one person inside the truck, CNN reported.

They further believe that incendiary materials within the vehicle were linked to a detonation system and are investigating the incident as a possible terrorist attack.

While speaking to the nation, President Joe Biden confirmed that federal authorities were looking into the incident and any possible links to the New Orleans terrorist attack on New Year's Eve.

"[W]e're tracking the explosion of a cyber truck outside the Trump Hotel in Las Vegas. Law enforcement and the intelligence community are investigating this as well, including whether there's any possible connection with the attack in New Orleans. Thus far, there's nothing to report on that score," he said.
