Illinois police confirmed that they had responded to a bomb threat at the home of Louis Prevost, the brother of Pope Leo XIV.

Prevost entered the national spotlight after his brother's election to the Papacy. He is a supporter of President Donald Trump and has attracted attention for some of his own political posts.

The bomb threat saw authorities search his home with dogs, though police did not find anything, The Hill reported

“Making false reports of this nature is a serious offense and may result in criminal charges," the New Lenox Police Department said in a statement.
