Former Acting DHS Secretary Chad Wolf says he has concerns over 'wokeness' in the military

Former Acting Homeland Security Secretary Chad Wolf says that he has concerns regarding "wokeness" in the U.S. military, especially with tensions rising in the Middle East.
"I have great confidence in our fighting men and women," Wolf said on the Tuesday edition of the "Just the News, No Noise" TV show. "But like you, I've seen over the last two and a half years or more, what they've done to the U.S. military and degrading physical standards, going woke in their teachings there in the Pentagon and elsewhere. That gives me great concern."
Wolf said that at the end of the day, if the military were to go to war, the U.S. would fight and win, but there are concerns that need to be addressed.
As the war in Israel continues overseas, Wolf said that something really important for the U.S. government to do is to make sure the southern border is secure.
"I think anytime there's an overseas conflict like we have right now, you've got to secure the homeland," he said. "And you need to make sure that any of your vulnerabilities – you go what we call 'shields up.' Unfortunately for this administration, over the last 30 months or so, the security along that southern border has been anything but great."
According to data released by U.S. Customs and Border Protection over the weekend, there have been a total of 736 terrorist suspects stopped at the border in the fiscal year of 2023.
"We need to do everything we can to protect American communities," Wolf explained. "And unfortunately, along that southern border, because of the overwhelming number of folks coming across that border, I think we are less secure today than we have been since 9/11."
