Former Ambassador Blackwell says Republicans should bundle border aid with Israel and Ukraine aid
"I probably would bundle three issues: Israel, Ukraine, and the southern border," Blackwell said.
Former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Human Rights Commission Ken Blackwell says that in order to get funding for border security, the GOP should bundle it with Ukraine and Israel funding.
"I probably would bundle three issues: Israel, Ukraine, and the southern border," Blackwell told the "Just the News, No Noise" TV show. "The fact is that we're in a multi-front war against radical Islam and Marxist communists. There is collaboration. We know that Hamas is an agency, a proxy of Iran. There are contradictions in what the Biden administration is doing."
President Joe Biden is giving a speech on Wednesday to address the war in Ukraine and the war in Israel.
He recently announced that the U.S. worked out a deal with Egypt and Israel to send more humanitarian aid into Gaza as the war continues to ramp up.
As the wars continue overseas, this has led some experts and elected officials to be concerned about the lack of security in the U.S.-Mexico border.
"If they're gonna bundle, I think they ought to make sure that we actually include resources that will tighten up our border, because right now, it is a gateway for those who would do destruction to our country domestically," Blackwell said.
