Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem on Tuesday confirmed that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) had detained the family of the suspect in a recent Boulder, Colo., terrorist incident and was exploring their possible complicity in the incident.

"Today, [DHS] and [ICE] are taking the family of suspected Boulder, Colorado terrorist, and illegal alien, Mohamed Soliman, into ICE custody," she posted.
"
This terrorist will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. We are investigating to what extent his family knew about this heinous attack, if they had knowledge of it, or if they provided support to it."

 During a Sunday vigil for the Israeli hostages held in Gaza, Soliman allegedly shouted "free Palestine" and attacked participants with a makeshift flamethrower.

 President Donald Trump has blamed President Joe Biden's immigration policy for permitting the Egyptian national to remain in the country after his visa expired.
