Iran strikes rock Israel, inflict casualties near Jerusalem

Iranian strikes have targeted installations across the Middle East in response to the joint U.S.-Israeli strikes on their country that killed Ayatollah Ali Khomeini.

Iranian airstrikes have hit Israel and inflicted casualties after Israel and the U.S. conducted joint strikes on Tehran over the weekend.

Video footage showed the immediate impact of one strike in Beit Shemesh, just outside of Jerusalem. The neighborhood of Beit Shemesh saw at least six people killed in the latest missile barrage.

Fox News reported on a "direct hit" that caused damage to a bomb shelter in the area.

Thus far, Qatar, Bahrain, Israel, and the United Arab Emirates have all been targeted. Iranian authorities have also begun striking vessels in the Strait of Hormuz in a bid to close the shipping lanes.
