Navy plane overshoots runaway and plunges into bay, none injured
Rescue operations were called off after the crew made it to safety and the immediate cause of the failed landing was unclear.
A P-8A Poseidon aircraft belonging to the U.S. military overshot its runaway and entered Kaneohe Bay in Hawaii, though all aboard managed to swim to safety and there no were injuries.
The Boeing aircraft had attempted land at the aircraft at a nearby Marine base, the Associated Press reported. The base is approximately 10 miles from Honolulu, Hawaii.

Footage showed the aircraft in the bay, though it appeared the waters were too shallow for the plane to entirely sink.

The incident happened at 2 p.m. Hawaii Time, and the military aircraft is currently floating in the ocean.
All nine people on board the aircraft survived and swam to the shore.
