South Carolina Rep. Norman says the way Biden handled the China spy balloon was inexcusable
"The place you do not want to take it down is over the ocean," Rep. Norman said.
South Carolina GOP Rep. Ralph Norman said President Biden waited way too long to down the Chinese spy balloon and put America's security at risk.
"In South Carolina, guess where it was hovering over?" Norman asked on the "Just the News, No Noise" TV show. "Duke Power Company. We have Shaw Air Force Base in my district. To wait that long is inexcusable."
The Biden administration has drawn a lot of criticism for waiting days to shoot down a Chinese spy balloon after it floated across the United States.
According to Norman, Biden also didn't take it down the proper way.
"The place you do not want to take it down is over the ocean," he stated. "Because that's where the salt water will completely work averse, virtually to try to find out what the equipment is doing. And what did Biden do? He took it down over the ocean."
Norman noted that after Biden addressed the public Thursday about the Chinese balloon as well as the other three objects that were downed, people had more questions than answers.
"It's an embarrassment," he said. "For him to let China violate our airspace, it raises more questions than it answers."
