Texas Rep. Babin goes after Biden admin for calling illegal immigration 'irregular migration'

Texas GOP Rep. Brian Babin called out the Biden Administration for referring to illegal immigration as "irregular migration."

"It's just another euphemism," Babin said on the Thursday edition of the "Just the News, No Noise" TV show. "They denied there was a border crisis for the longest time. He [DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas] cannot bring himself to  recognize that there is not only a crisis, but an absolute disaster."

Babin emphasized that another big concern was the diseases that people have been bringing over the border. 

"The pandemic for COVID may be over," he stated. "But let me tell you something: there are record numbers of tuberculosis and polio that are coming in, diseases that have been really eradicated over the last 100 years. I'll give you an example. In South Texas alone, they have tripled the rate of tuberculosis."

Human trafficking is another huge concern at the southern border. A House Judiciary subcommittee held a hearing earlier this week titled "The Biden Border Crisis: Exploitation of Unaccompanied Alien Children," which included testimony from Tara Lee Rodas, a whistleblower from the Department of Health and Human Services. 

"Whether intentional or not, it can be argued that the U.S. Government has become the middleman in a large scale, multi-billion-dollar, child trafficking operation run by bad actors seeking to profit off the lives of children," a copy of Rodas's written testimony obtained by Fox News reads.

Babin said that Rodas was spot on in her testimony. 

"She is telling us the truth," he said. "It's something that we've been suspecting now for well over two years."
