President Donald Trump on Thursday announced that he had directed his "entire" administration to negotiate with Iran in order to find a diplomatic solution to the nuclear arms issue.

"We remain committed to a Diplomatic Resolution to the Iran Nuclear Issue!" he posted. "My entire Administration has been directed to negotiate with Iran. They could be a Great Country, but they first must completely give up hopes of obtaining a Nuclear Weapon. Thank you for your attention to this matter!"

Trump made the remarks amid mounting reports that Israel planned to target Iranian facilities to prevent their cultivation of a nuclear weapon. The president has warned Israel that doing so could derail negotiations.
