Ashley Biden, President Joe Biden's daughter, paid off thousands of dollars in taxes that she has owed since 2015, when her father was vice president, according to Pennsylvania Department of Revenue filings.

The state tax department in December issued a lien against Ashley Biden, 42, for $4,985 in unpaid taxes in addition to a $94.44 filing fee. The agency has since updated the first daughter's docket status to "satisfaction filed" and said the lien notification "should be removed from the court records," Fox News Digital reported Tuesday.

Tax liens are government-issued claims against property or assets to secure unpaid taxes following repeated failed collection attempts.

Ashley Biden's lien period began Jan. 1, 2015, and ended Jan. 1, 2021, days before her father became president.

Meanwhile, Ashley Biden's older half-brother, Hunter Biden, pleaded not guilty last month to nine felony and misdemeanor federal tax charges after prosecutors alleged that he participated in a "four-year scheme to not pay at least $1.4 million in self-assessed federal taxes he owed for tax years 2016 through 2019."
