Biden approval at record low of 34%: poll
Overall, Biden commands a 40.8% approval rating in the RealClearPolitics polling average while 56.0% disapprove of him.
President Joe Biden hit a record low approval rating in a recent survey as voters continue to sour on his handling of immigration and inflation.
The president earned a 34% approval rating in the latest Monmouth University survey, down from 38% in September. The December score is 2% below than his previous low-point of 36% in June of last year. A record 61% of U.S. adults disapprove of him.
Among registered voters, Biden earned a slightly better 36% approval rating, compared to a 60% disapproval figure.
On the issues, Biden was in the red on five key polices. Forty-two percent approved of his infrastructure policy, compared to 52% who disapproved. On jobs, those numbers were 42% approval to 53% disapproval. Climate change saw Biden earn a 38% approval rating compared to 54% disapproval.
He scored worst on inflation and immigration, earning 28% approve/68% disapprove on the former issue while on immigration he scored 26% approval/69% disapproval.
Conducted Nov. 30-Dec. 4, the survey questioned 803 U.S. adults and has a margin of error of +/- 4.8%
