President Joe Biden called for a ban on congressional stock trading in a recent interview.

“Nobody in the Congress should be able to make money in the stock market while they’re in the Congress,” Biden said, according to The Associated Press.

The interview was conducted by a political adviser for Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., and published by pro-labor group "A More Perfect Union."

Such a proposal has been put forward in Congress but has not received a vote.

“I don’t know how you look your constituents in the eye and know, because the job they gave you, gave you an inside track to make more money,” Biden said during the interview. “I think we should be changing the law.”
