President Biden will appear Friday night on NBC's "The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon," which would mark his first late-night TV interview in his roughly 11-month presidency.

However, the appearance, reported by several news outlets, will mark Biden's third time on the NBC show, having appeared once in 2016 and once just before becoming his party's presumptive nominee in 2020.

The president's approval rating has dropped sharply since takin office and as a  result has faced some pressure to engage more directly with the press and media.

He has been making some stops around the country promoting the $1.2 trillion infrastructure bill that he recently signed into law – though, the passage of the package did not yield the polling bump that his team would liked to have had.
