'Dawson's Creek' star James Van Der Beek slams Democrats for not holding presidential primary debate
The Democratic Party has said it fully supports Biden's reelection bid and does not plan on sponsoring primary debates.
Actor James Van Der Beek, best known for starring in the drama series "Dawson’s Creek," criticized the Democrat Party for not planning a presidential primary debate as President Joe Biden faces questions about his cognitive capabilities.
"I cannot get over the fact that the Democratic National Committee is saying there will not be a debate to decide the nominee for president. Are you f***ing kidding me? There’s no debate?" Van Der Beek said in an Instagram video earlier this week.
The Democrat Party has said it fully supports Biden's reelection bid and does not plan on sponsoring primary debates, even as Biden's approval average is 41%, per FiveThirtyEight, and he is losing ground to challengers such as lawyer Robert F. Kennedy Jr. in hypothetical primary polls.
Van Der Beek also joined others questioning Biden's mental fitness by saying that the 80-year-old president has "obviously declining mental faculties."
The actor disabled comments on his post and he wrote that "the people debating should be the CANDIDATES."
