Marjorie Taylor Greene slams White House memo urging media to scrutinize GOP over Biden impeachment
"Isn't it amazing that the mainstream media is basically the campaign and the propaganda arm of the Democrat Party?" Greene said
Georgia GOP Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene slammed the White House over its recent memo that encouraged the media to increase "scrutiny" of House Republicans and hold them "accountable" for opening an impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden.
"Isn't it amazing that the mainstream media is basically the campaign and the propaganda arm of the Democrat Party?" Greene said on the Wednesday edition of the "Just the News, No Noise" TV show.
"After nearly 9 months of investigating, House Republicans haven’t been able to turn up any evidence of the President doing anything wrong," the memo reads.
The memo was sent to major outlets such as CNN, Fox News, The Associated Press and The New York Times.
"That's not how President Trump's White House handled things," Greene said. "They also worked hard to prove the truth. But they didn't try to control the media and the process."
"We know the media's bias is absolutely gigantic where they spend most of their time, over 90% of their time, attacking President Trump and spreading Democrat propaganda instead of actually reporting the truth," she added.
