President Donald Trump speaks Friday at an American Mining Association roundtable at the Department of State.

The president is expected to announce $180 million in grant funding to boost education around mining, according to White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt.

He will be joined by Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Interior Secretary Doug Burgum, Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick and a group of industry experts.

The event is expected to begin at 3 p.m. Eastern and can be viewed here.
