White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt announced Friday that she is pregnant with her second child with husband Nicholas Riccio, claiming the pregnancy was the "greatest Christmas gift" she could ask for.

"My husband and I are thrilled to grow our family and can’t wait to watch our son become a big brother," the press secretary said in a post on Instagram. "My heart is overflowing with gratitude to God for the blessing of motherhood, which I truly believe is the closest thing to Heaven on Earth."

The White House official also thanked and praised the Trump administration for their support of her as a young mother. The 28-year-old is the youngest White House press secretary in history, after she served as the national press secretary for the Trump campaign in 2024.

"I am also extremely grateful to President Trump and Chief of Staff Susie Wiles for their support, and for fostering a pro-family environment in the White House," she said. "2026 is going to be a great year, and I am so excited to be a girl mom!"
