President Donald Trump on Wednesday celebrated the decision of Apple Maps to embrace his recent renaming of Lake Ontario to "Lake America," which came amid a trade row with Canada.

Trump signed an executive order last month after trade negotiations with Canada fell apart. The move followed his previous renaming of the Gulf of Mexico to the "Gulf of America."

"Apple Maps has just announced that it has changed the name of Lake Ontario to Lake America, so now that very important change of names, between Google Maps and Apple Maps, is complete, ratified, and binding," he posted on Truth Social.

Apple Maps and Google Maps are two of the most widely used navigation systems in the U.S.
