President Donald Trump on Wednesday met with top American travel executives to celebrate the success of the country's Summer tourism season and to discuss plans for the Los Angeles Olympics.

The Oval Office event saw industry moguls, including resort chain executives and heads of other industries, gather to celebrate the American Summer surge, which came amid the World Cup.

"In the last three months, travelers logged 290 billion miles on American highways, our National Parks welcomed 78 million visitors — all records — and on 11 separate days, more than three million travelers flew through American skies," he said.

Trump also highlighted the upcoming Los Angeles Olympics, set for Summer 2028, vowing to repeat his efforts at hosting the World Cupt for the international games.
