At least nine people, including three members of the Lebanese military, were killed in Israeli airstrikes across southern Lebanon on Saturday, according to Lebanese officials and state media.

The strikes occurred days after a renewed ceasefire agreement was reached between the two sides.

The Lebanese army said one strike targeted a vehicle traveling on a road between the southern city of Nabatiyeh and the town of Marjayoun, killing a brigadier general, a captain, and another service member. The identities of the soldiers were not immediately released.

In a separate attack, an airstrike on the village of Saksakiyah left six people dead and four others wounded, according to Lebanon’s state-run National News Agency, the Associated Press reported.
