U.S. District Judge Indira Talwani on Wednesday lifted her injunction against President Donald Trump's executive order directing the United States Postal Service to tighten mail-in ballot rules.

Talwani was one of two federal judges who had blocked the order. The Supreme Court recently lifted a separate stay in an unrelated challenge to the order.

Talwani followed suit on Wednesday. Her decision means that the Postal Service can implement the mail-in ballot rules.

On Tuesday, however, Talwani issued a separate opinion in which she declared that the Postal Service had violated her injunction and "feigned" compliance with it throughout the Supreme Court proceedings.

She did not impose any additional penalties through that decision, however.
