Two men stabbed in Jewish suburb of north London, suspect subdued and arrested

The suspect, described as a 45-year-old man, attempted to stab police officers, who used a Taser to neutralize him.

Two men were stabbed in the north London suburb of Golders Green, which has a large Jewish population. 

One of the victims is in is 70s and the other in his 30s. They were treated at the scene and taken to the hospital, according to a statement from the Metropolitan Police.

The suspect, described as a 45-year-old man, attempted to stab police officers, who used a Taser to neutralize him. 

Shomrim North West London, a charity that operates a neighborhood watch in the area, said in a post on X that a man armed with a knife was attempting to stab Jewish people. Shormrim aided in capturing the suspect, the group said. 

The man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, and police are "still working to establish his nationality and background." Officers specializing in counter-terrorism are leading the investigation to determine the circumstances and if there are any links to terrorism.
