Former Kentucky Gov. Matt Bevin was arrested Thursday in Paris, Kentucky, by the Bourbon County's Sheriff's Office, two dispatchers at the Paris-Bourbon County 911 said. 

Bevin was reportedly arrested while playing an extra on the set of a Christian film production. Local news outlets reported that cable television company Great American Family is filming its latest movie, "The Greatest Christmas Gift of All," in downtown Paris this week. 

Jefferson Family Court Judge Angela Johnson issued two arrest warrants over the summer against Bevin in his divorce and child support case, Louisville Public Media reported.  

The first warrant was for Bevin's alleged failure to appear for a court hearing. The former governor blamed a "very large boulder" crashing into his vacation home in Bethel, Maine, for causing his absence. 

That warrant was rescinded after he paid a fine, but Johnson issued another warrant after finding him in contempt of court for failing to turn over required financial documents related to the case. In June, Johnson sentenced Bevin to 60 days in jail and a $500 fine.
