New Hampshire Gov. Kelly Ayotte won the Republican nomination for governor Tuesday night and will face off against Democrat Cinde Warmington in two months.

Warmington ran unopposed and Ayotte did not face any major challenges in the GOP primary, with Ayotte securing 90% of the vote at the time of publishing. The incumbent is seeking a second term just two years after she won the first.

New Hampshire and Vermont both have gubernatorial elections every two years and New Hampshire does not have any term limits. 

Ayotte was first elected in 2024 and served as a senator from New Hampshire before that.
