Alabama Republican Sen. Tommy Tuberville on Tuesday night won his party's nomination for governor, defeating two challengers to replace term-limited Republican incumbent Gov. Kay Ivey.

The Associated Press called the race for Tuberville with just a fraction of the vote counted, but he received 79% of the vote at the time of publishing. 

President Donald Trump endorsed Tuberville in January, and endorsed Alabama GOP Rep. Barry Moore to replace the senator. 

The results come on one of the busiest primary nights of the 2026 season, with six states holding their respective primaries. The other states are Georgia, Idaho, Kentucky, Oregon and Pennsylvania.
