First lady Melania Trump on Monday appeared with President Donald Trump to unveil the White House's women's health initiatives, which creates health division for them within the National Institutes of Health.

"This is a transformative moment for women in America," she said at the Rose Garden signing. "The 'Advancing Women's Health to Improve Outcomes in All Phases of Life' Executive Order establishes a new standard for women's health in America."

The order, which President Trump signed at the event, establishes a White House Women's Health Task Force dedicated to ensuring that federal policy is supportive of women's health.

The event marked a relatively rare public appearance by Melania Trump, who has generally stayed out of the spotlight during her husband's time in the White House.

She has, however, advocated for several causes, including the reunification of families separated by the war in Ukraine.
