President Donald Trump on Monday ordered McDonald's delivered to the White House via DoorDash and met the delivery driver outside the Oval Office.

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt posted a video of Trump meeting the delivery driver and quipping, "this doesn't look staged, does it?"

Trump took the opportunity to highlight his "no tax on tips" policy and emphasize the additional earnings that delivery drivers, such as the "Sharron" who brought his food, made due to the policy.

"President Trump just received a McDonald’s delivery order from a DoorDash driver outside the Oval Office!" Leavitt posted.
"Thanks to President Trump signing No Tax on Tips into law, Sharron is using the $11,000 in tips that she made last year to support her family."

Trump embraced eliminating taxes on tips during his 2024 presidential campaign. The policy passed through the One Big, Beautiful Bill and permitted taxpayers to deduct up to $25,000 in qualified income earned through tips.
